For perfectionists, people-pleasers, peacekeepers, and intellectualizers
Juniper and Ray works with individuals and couples who are done pretending everything is fine—but aren’t quite sure what comes next. If you’ve spent years being the calm one, the capable one, the strong one, you might be carrying a quiet ache that no one else sees. Maybe you’ve gotten really good at keeping things peaceful, perfect, or intellectually tidy—but inside, it feels disconnected, numb, or just… not you.
My clients are people-pleasers, perfectionists, peacekeepers, and deep thinkers. They're also tender, smart, funny, and longing for something more real. I help people begin to unmask the parts of themselves they’ve kept hidden—sometimes even from themselves—and move toward a life that feels more connected, more intimate, and more true.
for Couples with intimacy issues or facing the impact of trauma
I work closely with couples who are stuck in painful, confusing patterns—where the same argument plays out over and over, or where true happiness feels out of reach. I help partners slow down and recognize how their nervous systems are being activated in the relationship: where fear shows up, where past wounds echo, and where old stories block new connection.
Together, we explore the complex cycles you’re caught in—not to place blame, but to build understanding, safety, and trust. I invite couples to have deeper, more vulnerable conversations, where each person gets to show up more fully—not just for their partner, but for themselves. And yes, that kind of intimacy—emotional, physical, spiritual—takes courage. It asks something of you. But if you’re willing, I’ll walk alongside you every step of the way.
for People facing depression, anxiety, or emotional overwhelm
Many of my clients arrive in therapy feeling like they’re “too much”—too emotional, too sensitive, too complex—or, on the flip side, like they can’t access their emotions at all. Whether you’re carrying long-term anxiety, navigating the weight of depression, or feeling emotionally overwhelmed in ways you don’t fully understand, therapy is a space to come back to yourself gently and without judgment.
You don’t have to “earn” your pain or explain it in perfect words. You just have to show up—and I’ll meet you in that honest, messy middle.

small towns
the problem.
I was raised in a rural, farming community in Northwestern Kansas, where mental health resources were often limited or unavailable. Although I’ve since moved away, my heart remains with small communities like the one I grew up in. I’m passionate about supporting individuals and families in areas where access to therapeutic services is still scarce.
In tight-knit rural towns, seeking therapy can come with unique challenges—concerns about privacy, local gossip, running into your therapist in public, or feeling uncomfortable knowing your therapist may be connected to others in your life. These are valid and understandable worries.
the solution.
At Juniper + Ray, I offer a different approach. As someone who deeply understands the values and complexities of rural life—but who now lives outside those communities—I’m able to provide a safe, confidential space with fewer risks of overlap or judgment. My practice is designed to honor your need for privacy while offering high-quality, accessible care.
Confidentiality isn’t just a requirement of my profession—it’s a cornerstone of my practice. Your trust matters, and it’s something I take seriously in every session.
