the problem.
I was raised in a rural, farming community in Northwestern Kansas, where mental health resources were often limited or unavailable. Although I’ve since moved away, my heart remains with small communities like the one I grew up in. I’m passionate about supporting individuals, couples, and families in areas where access to therapeutic services is still scarce.
In tight-knit rural towns, seeking therapy can come with unique challenges—concerns about privacy, local gossip, running into your therapist in public, or feeling uncomfortable knowing your therapist may be connected to others in your life. These are valid and understandable worries.
the solution.
At Juniper + Ray, I offer a different approach. As someone who deeply understands the values and complexities of rural life—but who now lives outside those communities—I’m able to provide a safe, confidential space with fewer risks of overlap or judgment. My practice is designed to honor your need for privacy while offering high-quality, accessible care.
Confidentiality isn’t just a requirement of my profession—it’s a cornerstone of my practice. Your trust matters, and it’s something I take seriously in every session.
